Our Services

The best medicine involves an integrative approach: combining holistic with conventional medicine. Dr. Alexia integrates complementary holistic medicines with other treatment modalities your conventional veterinarian may be using. We’ll partner with you to devise the best plan for your pet, which may include one or several of the methods below.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an ancient form of medicine that initiates a healing response from the body. Our patients love their treatments as it brings on a sense of calm and relief.

Herbal Medicine

Veterinary herbal medicine, also known as botanical medicine, has been used for centuries. Modern herbal medicine provides benefits for a multitude of conditions due to how they work with our own bodies to create optimal wellness.

Virtual Appointment (telemedicine)

Can’t get out of the house? Virtual appointments are available if a physical exam can’t be performed. Dr. Tsakiris will review your pet’s history, current issues, current medications supplements, and food to create a plan for healing using herbal medicine, food therapy (diet), supplements, and even some at-home tools including a laser rental and Assisi Loop.

Holistic Wellness

Be an empowered, proactive pet owner! Learn how to keep your pets healthy, instead of waiting for them to get sick. Preventative medicine is for all ages, from puppies and kittens to our geriatric pets. Ensuring that all aspects of wellness are addressed beyond a thorough physical exam includes tips on exercise, mental stimulation, breed disease predisposition, environment, and diet.

Structural Body Work for Pets

Services include spinal manipulation, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and massage.

Food Therapy

Food is medicine. Appropriate diet and well-balanced nutrition are the cornerstones of your pet's health. The food your pet eats influences not only their biological health, but also the way they think, feel and act.

Laser Therapy

Laser therapy, also known as “cold” laser, helps to decrease inflammation and stimulate healing to areas of the body, especially in the joints. This therapy is used in combination with other healing modalities to create a synergistic effect for greater healing. Laser shines for pets with joint issues, dogs and cats not jumping up onto the couch any longer, arthritis and back issues. These are a few examples of conditions that would benefit from veterinary laser therapy.
